Opening Reception

Art Exhibit V Opening Reception Photos!

Thanks to everyone who mad it to the opening reception last night! Thank you also to the artists! I received great reviews of the show, awesome feedback on work by each artist.

Its a good feeling when each time there is an opening reception people who have been at every one say "this is the best one so far" I think that means I'm doing something right!

If you couldn't make it to the opening, you can still see the show. Just send me a note and I'll schedule an appointment to show you around!

Art Exhibit IV Opening Party Photos!

Thank you thank you to everyone who came to the opening party for Art Exhibit IV last night!

Great turnout for the artists, I was so happy people were able to meet the artists they were interested in and learn more about them. Delicious pizza by Del Popolo. If you haven't seen the truck, its really beautiful, with a  wood fired oven inside, and their pizza is amazing.

Here are a few photos from the party!

If you weren't able to make it, remember that the show runs for the next 10 weeks or so and I'd be happy to give you a tour if you'd like to make an appointment with me!

Art Exhibit III - Fabric/Textiles

Whoa, what a party... This has to have been one of the most fun parties I've every thrown. Seriously! The art looks so nice, and the crowd seemed to have a really upbeat, fun energy about it. Maybe it was the art, maybe it was the Sangria bar we set up, maybe it was the rockin all-girl band. Who knows?

Check out pictures of the art installed and the party below. We didn't have a photographer this time, but I think we got some good shots. :)

Art Exhibit III

Hello Friends! Just a quick update on the art program I've developed for Ntropic, I worked out a title that the company is happy with. We will be sticking with the title from the last show, and all the shows moving forward with be titled "Art Exhibit" followed by the number. Since we are on the third show, This one is... Art Exhibit III.

Art Exhibit III will be a really fun and playful show. I'm working on an essay/curatorial statement to go along with the catalog, which I'll post later.

This exhibition will be themed around fabric and textiles, and all the artists showing plus the band are all women. The band is The She's, if you haven't heard of them, please check them out! They have the perfect summer-fun sound... like a young, all-female, Beach Boys.

The artists showing will be:

Anna Valdez - Sarah Applebaum  - Laura Fischer - Yvette Brown

I've already made the invitation up too.

As usual this is a guest-list only, private event.
If you're interested in seeing the exhibition at another time, please message me directly and I'd be happy to set up an appointment
for you to see it in person!

STRUCTURE : A Group Exhibition at NTROPIC

I am very excited to announce the opening of this exhibit! This show is the very first art exhibit ever shown at this location. NTROPIC is a visual FX studio, and their SF office is a beautiful, modern,  gallery-like space in a converted historic warehouse.

For NTROPIC, I proposed a detailed outline of what I think a successful art program would look like. It was accepted, and now I am curating a rotating quarterly exhibition featuring up-and-coming Bay Area artists.

For the opening receptions, I'll plan a large party in order to introduce the artists, welcome their friends and clients, and introduce NTROPIC's clients to the artists, providing a fresh alternative to usual agency networking events and art openings.

Structure is the very first exhibit in the new art program at NTROPIC SF, and I am thrilled to be presenting it! The four artists featured are all based in Oakland and Alameda, and are incredibly talented. Click on their names below for their websites.

Featured Artists:

Chris Vogel  -  Jamie Banes  -  Mike Steffen  -  Steve Chellis

This opening reception is guest-list only, so if you would like an invitation, please use the contact form to reach me directly, and I'll add you to the list!
