ÉMOI Launch Party and Exhibition Photos

The launch party was fantastic! We had 180+ people attend, the music by Travis Vick was beautiful, the Émoi performance and speech by Aaron Robinson were incredibly touching.

The wine and food were delicious, and although I had an issue with Crêperie Saint Germaine, it was resolved without much interruption to the party. The event was a huge success and I think all who attended had a good time.

Heres a collection below by photographer Unni Raveendranathen - Thanks Unni! :)

Émoi Launch & Art Exhibit II Catalog

As usual with this space, the event is guest list only.
If you're interested in viewing the art at another time, I'd be happy to set up an appointment to meet, show you the work and give you a tour of the space!
In the meantime, check out the catalog of the artwork, price list, and artist information.

Art Exhibit II - Émoi Launch

The party planning is in full swing! I'm planning the launch party for Émoi, a new music company. I am planning the event, as well as curating the next Ntropic Art Exhibit around the theme of "émoi".

The party itself is a big production. I've hired Crêperie Saint Germain to serve made-to-order sweet and savory crêpes, we've chosen some nice french wines to complement the food and the theme. Entertainment throughout the night by singer/songwriter Travis Vick. With the highlight of the evening being the live performance by Aaron Robinson, the man behind Émoi, accompanied by Marie Brice, the LA Philharmonic's first violinist!

The Art Exhibit opening will be rolled into the same event as each artist has been chosen to represent a different facet of feeling of émoi. I'm very excited to show these artists, some of them I've been following for years, one or two are friends, but they are all talented amazing artists. Here's the line-up:

Brooks Salzwedel - Joe Kowalcyzk -  Kelsey Schnack - Clare Szydlowski - Nick Santoro

A big thanks to Kimberley at Johansson Projects in Oakland for lending me Brooks Salzwedel's work for this! Its beautiful, and will look amazing in this show.  Here's a sneak peek at one of the pieces:

STRUCTURE Exhibition Photos

The opening reception of Structure was a huge success! Just over 100 people were in attendance and I received amazing and supportive feedback from the artists, NTROPIC, and guests. Everyone loved the wine tasting hosted by Vandol Cellars as well!

I didn't take any great photos of the event, but a good friend and great photographer, Ed Ng, was in attendance and was able to snap some very dramatic shots of the artwork. Thanks Ed! :)

STRUCTURE : A Group Exhibition at NTROPIC

I am very excited to announce the opening of this exhibit! This show is the very first art exhibit ever shown at this location. NTROPIC is a visual FX studio, and their SF office is a beautiful, modern,  gallery-like space in a converted historic warehouse.

For NTROPIC, I proposed a detailed outline of what I think a successful art program would look like. It was accepted, and now I am curating a rotating quarterly exhibition featuring up-and-coming Bay Area artists.

For the opening receptions, I'll plan a large party in order to introduce the artists, welcome their friends and clients, and introduce NTROPIC's clients to the artists, providing a fresh alternative to usual agency networking events and art openings.

Structure is the very first exhibit in the new art program at NTROPIC SF, and I am thrilled to be presenting it! The four artists featured are all based in Oakland and Alameda, and are incredibly talented. Click on their names below for their websites.

Featured Artists:

Chris Vogel  -  Jamie Banes  -  Mike Steffen  -  Steve Chellis

This opening reception is guest-list only, so if you would like an invitation, please use the contact form to reach me directly, and I'll add you to the list!
